Damn that sucks that it excludes the Viva Glam collection since the one thing I need to buy from MAC is more Viva Glam lipstick.

Doh! Yeah, most of their sales exclude that since 100% of Viva Glam sales go directly to AIDS research. Nonetheless, I feel your pain - Viva Glam V is my favorite lipstick evar.

Hah hah really? I didn't know that. Now I feel like an asshole for complaining. ;P I never remember what one I like. I need to write it down since by the time I go to get more the name of it has worn off the bottom. I think it's 3 or something. I'll have to make my way to MAC this weekend to pick more up. :)

It could be 1. I know it's one of the first ones. It is red. It's the lipstick I wear every day. Which I amazed by. That I've had that tube of lipstick for like 4 years and I wear it *every* day, and I just now need a replacement.

I STILL have been meaning to go to Mac. I actually have started cleaning out my living space and I realized that about 90% of the make up strewn about EVERYWHERE is old..like I STILL have shit I wore in high school...or nasty which is why I never wore it much in the first place. I wan't to dump majority of it and streamline down to what I actually have that I like and certain collections like the BE that I like. I like the BE but i'm not married to it and I have been wanting to try MAC. I just have no clue what to get!! What's mah colors??!!??!?! So I have been meaning to do the little make over but 9 out of 10 times I get overwhelmed and scurred by all the hustle bustle of the MAC ladies.

Your best bet would be to go to an actual MAC store during the week (if possible) - they tend to be a bit less busy then, and you *should* have the time you need with an artist. Speak up! Tell them what you normally wear, and what you're looking for. If you don't like something they are putting on you - let them know. They will listen!

haha Well hey man, a good thing to do would be in the next day or so, go into MAC and pick out a bunch of stuff you like. Write it all down (in specifics!) and buy it online so you get the discount. That's what I'm doing. ;)

As for foundation, I'm dying to try the BE stuff myself. I'm using MAC foundation now, but I hate all foundations. haha

That collection looks like a snoozefest! They really just keep recycling the same colors over and over. Or maybe it's just because I'm a MAC hater. =)

Very very tempting!! I was stalking my sister's MAC collection over Christmas (since I figure we have similar skin tones) and I wanted to try a liquid foundation sometime.

I'm like Nikki though. I've gone in there and had one of the artists work with/on me but I'm still always too overwhelmed to ask questions!

Aww, well I always try to go at non-busy times, aka weekdays. The nights on weekdays are fine, too. Sometimes you might have to wait for an artist, but when you do, they're all yours. :) If you go to the Towson MAC for some reason, ask for April. :)

haha No, no. They'd try to point you in the right direction, if you get the right salesperson/makeup artist helping you out. Don't get me wrong - some of them are bitches, but that's the way it is in any sales/retail environment, right?

I personally love April at the Towson store. Try to give them SOME idea, though...like, "I want Foundation. I want lipstick." etc. :)

hehe Aw, no problem. :) Just remember more than anything that there aren't really "rules" to makeup! If you want to put blush on your lips, foundation on your thigh and mascara on your cheeks, go for it!
